Samkwang School of Health Science and Technology, is the brain child of Young Health Professionals, some of Nigeria’s seasoned professional health managers, widely acknowledged patriotic Nigerian’s with great foresight, these young health professionals sought and worked assiduously to bring Health Education and health professional training and research facilities nearer to Northern Nigeria. The goal has been to encourage the advancement of learning, and to hold out to all persons, irrespective of race, creed, sex or political affiliation, the opportunities of acquiring Health professional education, especially in Community Health, Health Information Management, Environmental Health, Health Education, X-Ray, Nutrition and Dietetic, medical Laboratory Science e.t.c. and by so doing, help to improve people’s productivity, efficiency and wealth.

In recent years, our discerning populace in Nigerians have called for such life-long health education that combines practical, academic and professional subjects, particularly within the context   of health educational revolution of Northern Nigeria. SSHST was therefore established to meet those ideals. The Institution is poised to provide the type of health education needed to build a total man, self-reliant, more productive, and adequately equipped to face the career challenges of the 21^st Century.
